Some of you may remember that back in November I was tinkering with the idea of traveling to Korea to bring home a baby. At that time, I didn't feel comfortable traveling away from Sanjay and Pax when Pax was only 2 1/2 months old. Now that Pax is nine months old, and the fact that Sanjay will be able to take time off work to care for Pax, I feel like it is a good time to go. Pax is not experiencing any separation anxiety from me and I agree with Jessica's advice back in November when she said Daddy and Pax need to have some one on one bonding time alone.
It is not going to be a vacation by any means, the flight is going to be grueling and of course I am going to miss my babies with all my heart, but I have to focus on how much joy I am going to bring the family when I place their baby in their arms. I can not wait for that moment. For those of you who are birth parents, think about that moment you first laid eyes on your baby after giving birth, this is the same feeling these families are going to experience in the airport. I am blessed to be able to be a small part of their joy.
Thanks to all of you who support our decision and if you think of it, please give Sanjay a call or an email of encouragement while I'm gone.

Best of Luck! I am very excited for you----it has got to be a really good feeling to have such a rewarding job and to see that look on new forever families faces. Pax will have a great time with Sanjay.
This is great news! I am so happy you have another opportunity to help a family bring their baby home. I am glad that you are at peace with it now, that`s all that matters. I can`t wait to see pictures of that priceless moment. Safe travels my friend.
