Gammy Laughing with Pax

Did somebody say Hawaii? Pax is ready to go in his little blue outfit. This past weekend we celebrated Pax's little friend Josiah's first birthday at Gymboree. He had so much fun! The last picture is of a playdate at Julie's house. Let's just say it was comical attempting to get 6 kids to pose for a picture.

Pax in the Tub

Pax had a little cold so we gave him a bath with the steam from the shower filling the room (sorry about the quality) so it would break some of the guk in his lungs. Pax loves to splash in the tub so we thought he would really enjoy swimming lessons. We start in May! I can't wait!

Pax is almost eight months and on a perfect day, if we aren't running around during the day, his schedule usually goes like this:

Wake up around 7:00 - 8:30 drink 7 oz and eat cereal with fruit

Nap #1 10:00-12:00

Lunch 12:00 drink 7 oz and eat fruit or vegetable

Nap #2 2:00-4:00

Dinner 4:00 drink 7 oz and eat vegetable

Bedtime 7:00 drink 7 oz

We try not to be too strict with this schedule, but the truth is, Pax really likes being on a sleeping schedule, so much so that he made his own schedule. He has missed many naps, and is okay, just not as giggly as he is when he gets his naps in. He can fall asleep in the car, but not yet in the stroller on a walk. Sometimes we only feed him solids twice a day and and he eats more at eat sitting. It really just depends on the day. We are flexible about his feeding time too. By the way, I am still really enjoying making food for Pax so far he has had, rice cereal, oatmeal, and whole grain cereal, nanners, mango, avocado, apples, sweet potato, acorn squash, butternut squash, green beans, peas, pears and carrots. I think I will buy organic green beans next time because I just can't seem to get them smooth enough. The other day we went to my Dad's house to celebrate his birthday and by the time we got there (an hour and a half after he ate) my dad pulled a little piece of green bean from Pax's mouth. I felt so bad, what if he had choked?

Hoppy Easter Everybody

Pax had quite the Easter this year. We took him to the rec center for a quick (and I mean quick) easter egg hunt and the guest of honor was there too!

My dad and Linda had a special Easter egg hunt at their house for Rylie and Pax. Most importantly, we were able to spend easter morning service with my sister Kelly, her hubby Eric, their daughter Rylie and my mom. We spent the afternoon with Sanjay's parents and made a visit to Sanjay's brother's house to see our beautiful nephews, Christian and Brandon.

Move Aside Lebron

We brought out a new toy that Pax got from Christmas. Pax loves playing with the basketball hoop. He can't throw the balls in the hoop yet, but he figured out everything else on his own. I can't believe how big he's getting!

Pax loves his crazy mohawk hair, he loves to look at the clouds and read!

Pax loves the Piano

Sanjay's dad discovered that Pax loves to play the piano. Sanjay tells Pax to turn the page and he actually does it. I wonder if it is a coincidence or if he did it intentionally. Every book Pax and I read together I say " turn the page" and he does it. We will have to try it again later to see.

Reeve and Maria Have Twins

Sanjay's brother, Reeve and our sister-in-law Maria, had twin boys on April 1st. Yes, on April Fools Day! Brandon was 4 pounds and Christian was 3.5 pounds. Both babies and mom are doing good and we will post more details later after we visit them this evening! Praise God for these little blessings.
