Happy Easter!

Happy Easter!

Sanjay and I had a wonderful weekend. Friday morning we took my niece Rylie to see the Easter Bunny. She was so cute and was mesmerized by all of the people; it was her first time at the mall. Friday night my Dad and Linda came over and we went out to eat (a luxury I have just recently been able to enjoy again) at Cheesecake Factory. It was really nice to see them and catch up. They had a long drive home in the snow.

Sanjay thought we better get used to watching kids movies so we went to see Horton Hears a Who. I have been hesitant about going anywhere because I never know how I am going to feel at any given moment and I did have a bad spell in the middle of the movie, so I just lifted up the armrest between Sanjay and I and laid on him. It was a cute movie. We got some healthy fruit drinks at Liquid Planet and walked around Crocker Park. We saw the cutest clothes in Baby Gap, but we were good and didn't buy anything.

Sunday we went to church with Sanjay's parents, visited my Grandpa, and my mom, Sanjay's brother, Reeve and our sister in law, Maria all met at Sanjay's parents for a yummy Indian Easter dinner.

Four month doc appointment

Today Sanjay and I went to our 4 month appointment. Peanut's heartbeat was strong and fast beating at about 161. Sanjay got in on video again. The doc was surprised that I have not gained any weight yet, but said not to worry.

Peanut got his/her first easter present in the mail from my friend Katie Sterling. It's the cutest little waterproof rubber duckie book. It even squirts out water (sanjay and I are going to have fun with that). Thanks so much Katie!

Last night I had a dream about the sex of the baby for the first time. My Aunt Shirley was holding Peanut in the mall and for some reason I didn't know the gender. I asked her and she said "it's a girl!" We'll have to wait and see if my dream is true!

Sanjay's Baby Books For Peanut

Sanjay's work requires him to travel just about every month, on average. To make the situation a little better, he brings me back a little surprise from his travels. Last time he brought me back some coco butter soap that is supposed to help with stretch marks. This time he brought home two books for Peanut, one called "My Baby Book" based on Guess How Much I Love You and the other called "Five Shiny Stars". Five shiny stars is a book about a cat that looks like Colby.

I thought this gesture was so sweet of Sanjay. Sanjay read them to me one night that I wasn't feeling good and I got a tiny tear in my eye when I imagined Sanjay sitting in a rocking chair reading to little Peanut. What a precious sight.

Goodbye First Trimester, Hello Second Trimester

I am officially out of my first trimester. Thank God! I feel like I am getting better. I haven't had a day that I couldn't get out of bed or talk in a while (other than the day I went to the hospital which was about a week and a half ago.) Sometimes I have great moments and others I am so sick that I just have to lay as straight as a pencil. There are so many inconsistencies in pregnancies, but one things that everybody agrees on is that you feel your best in the second trimester. I am praying that the second trimester will allow me to get back to exercising, eating a variety of foods, and of course feeling better.

I am sorry for being a bad friend, co-worker, wife, sister, daughter, cousin, and granddaughter to all of you. I'm sorry for not calling you back, having to cancel plans, and not performing to my best ability. I hope you understand that I am just going through a rough time and I will be back to myself in no time. I do try to remain optimistic, but I also miss my hubby. He will be back on Saturday.

This past weekend Eric went to Columbus to compete in the Arnold Schwarzenegger competition. The three-day Arnold Sports Festival features 17,000 competitors in 37 events, including 12 Olympic sports. Eric did 29 reps of 170 pounds and ran a 5K in 22 minutes. Good Job Eric!
