I love the weekends! It is such a blessing to have Sanjay home and hang out as a family. During the week Sanjay doesn't get home until 6:30 or 7:00 and Pax goes to bed at 7:00 so there isn't a lot of time to hang out. Pax and Sanjay do get to see each other in the mornings though.

Friday we went to get Pax's pictures takes at Portriat Innovations, which was a very pleasant experience. We have been meaning to get Pax's pictures taken since he was born and finally made an appointment (thanks for the motivation sissy). You really get a lot of pictures for the money you spend and the professionals are very kid friendly too! After the pictures we went out to lunch and watched Sanjay get a haircut. Our neighbors stopped over for a while. Gretchan came over to watch the AMAZING cavs game! What a game!! I never lost hope; even with one second on the clock. You gotta love Lebron. He is just amazing! By the way, I am convinced Pax looks like Lebron. I seem to be the only one on this planet that thinks that, but I swear there are certain faces that Lebron makes that is totally Pax.

Gretchan organized a 5 K run on Saturday morning that Lisa and Katie ran in. Sanjay, Pax and I cheered on our friends and volunteered to help direct the runners and cheer them on. It was great fun. We then wanted to meet some of our other friends at the Botanical Gardens, but both of my boys fell asleep. When they woke up, we were in the car going to go to Home Depot when Suba called and asked us to go to the Rib Cook off, so we decided to go there instead. We met up with my Aunt Shirley and Adrianna. It was a beautiful warm day and Pax loved looking at all of the people. He thought the ribs were good too. Just kidding! The day ended at a BBQ at our neighbors house.

Sunday, was Rylie's 2nd birthday party. I can't believe how smart, kind, and beautiful she has become. There were several moments that I just sat and observed my sweet niece Rylie and thought what a wonderful job Kelly and Eric are doing raising her.

Monday morning we woke up, packed up and spent the day with Sanjay's parents. Aunt Becky, Uncle Bill and Tessa came over too! We then had a BBQ at Sanjay's brother, Reeve's house and got to spend time with our adorable nephews!

Poor Pax missed a lot of naps the past 4 days; he was sooo exhausted he pretty much slept all day on Tuesday. He only woke up to eat and I had to wake him for our swim lesson at 5:00pm. Gretchan came with us to swim lessons and then we watched the cavs game.

Pax Laughing

Pax laughs so hard everyday and there are so many times that we don't capture those moments. His laugh has already changed so much since we heard his first little squeal of joy. In my opinion, there is not a more sweet noise than hearing a baby laugh.

Pax Swimming Lessons

We signed Pax up for swimmig lessons and he absolutely LOVED the water. The instructor kept warning us that they may be frightened of the large pool and they may not splash right away. This was not the case for Paxton. Sanjay took this video seconds after Pax enterd the pool. Pax continued to splash the entire lesson. He was so cute!

We took Pax on some field trips. It's amazing how many fun, FREE things you can find to do as a family. The first pic is of Pax and daddy at the Westside Market. We went during Pax's nap time and he did wonderful and loved looking at all of the new faces. The second pic is at the Lake Erie Nature and Science center where they have birds, turtles, owls, deer, fish, bunnies, spiders, snakes and the scenery is absolutely beautiful.

We were so happy to celebrate Sarah and Dave's daughter Maddie's third birthday. Unfortunately, we didn't get any pictures of the birthday girl because she was sooo busy running around in her little tu-tu (sp?), but, we did get to meet sweet Maya and it was great to see our friend Alissa.

Finally, pictures of our handsome sweet nephews have arrived. The first one is of Maria and Christian and the scond one is of Brandon. Both boys are gaining weight and doing awesome!

Happy Mother's Day to all you mothers out there!

Oh how I loved Mother's Day!

The night before, we had a few of our friends over for the cavs game and once we cleaned up and went to bed I reached to turn off the light on my nightstand and noticed a piece of paper and pen. Sanjay created an adorable menu that had several breakfast choices which was presented to me in bed the next morning with a vase filled with two red roses (one for Pax and one for our cat, colby). It was so sweet and thoughtful. He did the same thing for lunch and dinner. I didn't do one dish all day! Sanjay also took the baby monitor and fed and played with Pax so I could sleep in. Well I attempted to sleep in, but Paxton's hearty laugh filled my ears and all I wanted to do is get up and spend time with my family. Sanjay was incredible to me and never complained about serving me all day. It was awesome. He also cleaned the entire inside of my car the day before, made me a certificate for the best mommy award, and a card from Pax.

The day ended by a family trip to the mall for a chance to use up a gift card that was way overdue. Pax loved sitting on daddy's shoulders throughout the mall.

I tried to take the day off from being a mother and live a day like I had no responsibilities, but the truth is that I didn't want to and I will never stop being a mother, not even for a second. I absolutely love being a mother and feel so incredible blessed to be a mother. Motherhood is so natural to me and incredibly rewarding. Life is good!

Pax got another tooth today. Wow that's two in two days. Our poor baby is in pain. He is still sleeping through the night and taking good naps, but during the day I can tell he is hurting. He is cranky unless he is distracted, which is just the opposite of how he normally is. Yesterday, Pax was facing me on my lap and I was singing pat-a-cake to him, when we were done he just looked at me, his face became long, and bam began to cry. It broke my heart because I know his mouth was hurting and I wanted more than anything to take his pain away from him. We are a little apprehensive of giving him too much medication because we feel the Western world sometimes tends to over medicate. The Eastern countries have a completely different medical philosophy. Anyway, that's a whole other blog entry. We did give him a little infant Tylenol and let him suck on some ice and just have to keep his mind occupied. He still laughs if you tickle him, chase after him, let him look at the world upside down, and dance in front of him, but this kid used to laugh even if you sneezed. Does anybody know how long the pain lasts?
