Unfortunately after a day and a half of feeling a little bit better, I had a turn for the worse and ended up in the hospital. I was in so much pain that I couldn't even walk and could barely talk. I was so concerned for the baby. My friend Gretchan came to take me to the hospital and Sanjay met us there. I thought Gretchan would just leave after dropping me off to go back to work. But she didn't; she stayed there with us the entire time. Thank you so much Gretchan and Sanjay. My mom also came and spent the night with us. She helped with things we needed around the house. Thank mom.
The great news is that all of my vitals were fine and I was just dehydrated. One doctor told me it was pregnancy related and the other told me it wasn't, so who knows. The best part of the entire event was that we got to hear Peanut's heartbeat. It was beating kind of slower than I thought it would be, but I thought it was so cool that I cried happy tears. We later found out that it was my heartbeat and not Peanut's. DUH! Luckily a different nurse came and wanted to check for herself because there were no notes from the midwife who checked it the first time. We got to hear it for real this time. It was much faster, beating around 165. I cried again and Sanjay just kinda stared at my belly in a happy shock.

Yikes. . . Glad to hear you and baby are doing well. How scary. Be sure to drink plenty of fluids and rest. Take care and we'll be thinking of you:) Erin
Sissy,
Just do what you need to do. Take things at your own pace, and listen to your body. Peanut only wants her mom to be happy and do the best she can! (She told me.) Pregnancy affects everyone differently. You are in the home stretch of the worst of it. I know you are doing the best you can.
Thank God you & your "peanut" are alright. You're so blessed to have so many friends & love ones around you to help. Try to take it easy. You guys are in our prayer. :)chris
I'm so glad to hear everything is okay! Take care of yourself and your little one :)
My best advice.....listen to your body. Only you know when things arent right and your not feeling well. All 3 of you are in our prayers! Oh yea....and I think its a girl!!!!
Glad to hear you and peanut are doing alright now! Keep drinking those fluids! Praying that your second trimester will be a much needed break from all this!!!
Thanks everyone for the encouragement! Love ya'll
I hope you're feeling better! Thanks for comment on my blog. I'll be sure to keep up on your blog to see how you, Sanjay and the baby are doing. Drink your fluids!
